EDC FUNCTIONS 


1. To organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps on Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Faculty Development Programmes in the region for the benefit of S&T persons.
2. To conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities (particularly in S&T areas and Service sector).
3. To guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support systems and information on various technologies.
4. To organize guest lectures, Seminars etc for promotion and growth of S& T based entrepreneurship.
5. To arrange visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs.
6. To extend necessary guidance and escort services to the trainees in obtaining approval and execution of their projects.
7. To provide testing, calibration, quality assurance, design, tool room, pilot plant and other facilities for Entrepreneurs besides expertise in Intellectual Property rights, Patents search, etc.
8. To render advice to sick enterprises and assist the entrepreneurs in rehabilitating them.
9. To conduct skill development training programmes leading to self/wage employment.
10. Arrange students-to-entrepreneurs "face to face" programmes.
11. Organize E-week celebrations.
12. Mentor student who have business ideas by placing them under the supervision of entrepreneurs, under a mentorship scheme.
13. Organize faculty development programmes to sensitize the faculty members in the college regarding the importance of entrepreneurship in real life, corporate life and economic development of the country.
14. Publish a bi-annual entrepreneurship news letter.
15. To motivate, support and mentor students for identification, development and commercialization of their innovative ideas.
16. To initiate targeted number of innovative student projects each year for new product development.
17. To organize Business Plan Competitions / Innovation Camps / Hackathons with active involvement of industry and alumni.
18. To arrange interaction with entrepreneurs, bankers, professionals, potential customers and create a mentorship scheme for student innovators.
19. To develop and introduce curriculum on Entrepreneurship Development at various levels including degree/diploma courses of the parent institution and other institutes in the region.
20. To act as a Regional Information Centre on business opportunities, processes, technologies, market, etc. by creating and maintaining relevant data bases.
